Pusu Atelier · Guangzhou

The making behind what you keep.

Pusu Atelier is an independent Guangzhou workshop making jewelry cases, watch cases and collector’s trunks. We bring the discipline of classic hard-case making to pieces designed for the objects they hold and the rooms they live in.

The starting point

A case begins inside.

The exterior may be what you notice first, but the interior decides whether a case earns its place. A watch, a ring or a larger collection each asks for its own proportions, protection and way of being kept.

We shape the dimensions, compartments and closure around that use. The result is not simply a beautiful object, but one that brings order to the things you reach for and the things you choose to keep.

A workshop built around the work.

Pusu Atelier grew from years spent designing and making high-end hard cases in Guangzhou. Our designers and makers work in close conversation, from the first proportion to the final finish.

That proximity matters. A detail can be reconsidered before the structure is settled; a material can be judged alongside the way the piece will be opened, carried and lived with.

The people in these photographs are our own team. Their shared experience gives each piece a consistency that cannot be added at the end of production.

The standard

The details carry the standard.

Fine hard cases are judged in the places that do not need an introduction: the way an edge meets a corner, the line of a fitting, the balance of a lid and the feel of a handle in the hand.

Equipment helps us prepare with precision. The final judgement stays with the maker, who brings structure, covering and hardware into one resolved piece.

Materials

Chosen to work as one.

Leather, lining, timber and metal are not decorative choices alone. Each has a job to do: support the structure, protect the contents, feel right in use and hold its place within the whole piece.

For bespoke work, those choices can change with the object, the room and the person who will live with it. We choose materials for the role they play, not for an impressive name on a specification.

Our point of view

Made for a longer life.

Pusu Atelier is rooted in a restrained East Asian sensibility and informed by classic trunk-making. We prefer proportion, material and useful detail over decoration for its own sake.

A piece becomes worth keeping when it earns a place in daily life, then stays there. That is the kind of longevity we design for: a case that feels considered on the first day and familiar years later.

The people behind the pieces

Experience lives in the hands.

The work draws on years of making hard cases, but experience is more than time served. It is the ability to see when a proportion is off, when a fitting needs another adjustment and when a piece is ready to leave the workshop.
